There are moments where I find myself pausing amidst the busy days at Atlas Gamers—pausing just long enough to take it all in. The laughter. The sounds of shuffling cards. The clinking of deck boxes. The stories being told over games, the friendships formed across tables. And every time I do, I’m reminded of how far we’ve come—not just as a shop, but as a community.
How Did Atlas Gamers started?

When we first started Atlas Gamers, it wasn’t with the intention to become something big. It began with a simple dream: to create a safe and welcoming space for people who love trading card games—whether you were a seasoned player, a curious beginner, or someone just looking for a place to belong. We started online and eventually, we ended up having a small, cozy space right upstairs of GachaKohi cafe.

In those early days, we didn’t have much. A few tables and chairs. A handful of regulars. A ton of heart. But somehow, that was enough. We grew—not just in numbers, but in purpose. We became more than a TCG shop. We became a second home to many. A gathering point. A place where lifelong friendships were formed, where siblings bonded, where parents and kids played side by side. Where people came not just to play Pokémon, One Piece, Hololive, or Altered—but to connect.

We’ve hosted tournaments, organized community days, launched learn-to-play sessions, celebrated pre-releases, cheered for local heroes, and stood in awe as juniors climbed the ranks with fire in their hearts. Each event, each match, each late-night chat in the shop and at the mamak has become part of a much larger story—one that belongs to all of us.

To our loyal players, our supportive parents, our passionate collectors, and every single person who has ever stepped into Atlas Gamers: thank you. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for helping us build something that feels less like a business, and more like a family.
As we wait for the next chapter in the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet series, we’re taking this short breather after Malaysia’s biggest event—MBL—to truly recuperate, reflect, and take in all that we’ve been through in the past year. The growth, the milestones, the small everyday moments—we’ve lived it all together. And that’s exactly what this journey has always been about.

That’s what Journey Together means to us. It’s not just a set name—it’s a reminder that everything we’ve built, everything we’ve experienced, has been done side by side with this amazing community.
This journey isn’t over. It’s only just getting started. And we’re grateful—truly, deeply grateful—to have each and every one of you with us.
Here’s to the memories, and the many more to come.
With all my heart,
Terry Sandum
